Jun 1, 2020 | Press Release | 0 comments

This is a video we have done as part of our marketing campaign to create awareness about usage of the RAPEL app. As a household user, when you clean and segregate your wastes, RAPEL will reward you with points or cash for your trash.

Dear Investors of GCAL Limited,

Here are some quick updates for you on our business progress:

Highlights: Since we are gaining momentum, we are riding on it and speeding our growth rate. Our number of downloaders have surpassed the 50,000th downloader mark end of May – projecting S$150,000 by end of the year. We continue to focus to build our business by encouraging our communities to send their wastes to RAPEL via our waste collection app.

Performance: We achieved a number of KPI’s which we had set for the month. We are working tirelessly to increase our user acquisition in terms of number of downloads. As a result, our number of active users and registered users are higher than projected. It is also pleasing to know that our retention rate over the last 3 months is higher than projected, too. Collection of wastes are higher compared to the previous months, hence increasing the average per kg of wastes per transaction. However, not everything is rosy, there is still room for improvement. We are working to increase total number of wastes to be recycled in our own RAPEL’s warehouse and to increase our monthly ARPU (Average Revenue Per User) to SGD$5 by end of the year – we are currently at approx. SGD$2.

Requests: As always, please send along any leads or referrals to connect us to potential investors who are interested to be part of a sustainable and green business. This is the best opportunity before we get VC’s on board.

Sales & Marketing: We are leveraging on the power of digital marketing to reach out to our communities.

Operations: Earlier this month, we hired a well-qualified and dynamic lady on board as our COO in PT WAE. We believe, with her experience, skills and leadership, she will be able to grow our business to the next level by end of this year. We are strategising our digital marketing campaigns to improve its right target audience, thus keeping up with our momentum to spread the mission of zero-waste.

Strategy: We are targeting to have a presence in 12 different cities in Central Java by the end of the year. We are currently in 7 cities – they are Jogjakarta, Sleman, Bantul, Kulonprogo, Klaten, Kartasura and Magelang. Moving forward, we will expand to Semarang, Salatiga, Surakarta, Pekalongan and Tegal. We are open to strategic partnerships that is in alignment of our mission to develop an integrated waste management and environmental care solution for Indonesia.

Upcoming Schedule: Our AGM is scheduled to be held on 16th July. Please block your date for this event. More information will be announced later.
