Hello, Investors!

We are happy to announce to you that our RAPEL waste management business is growing steadily day-by-day. Starting this month, we are adding in a new waste category in our mobile app – that is, “used cooking oil” (known as, ‘minyak jelantah’ in the lcoal language).

For quick information: Used Cooking Oil (UCO) is an important source of raw material for the production of biodiesel. The process to clean and to recycle the UCO allows us to create a second-generation vegetable oil that does not compete with food production in the world or contribute to the destruction of rainforest.

On a quick note, our RAPEL team has successfully sett up operations in another city nearby earlier this month. Click here to watch our announcement that Rapel is now in Semarang. For some of you have not been there, Semarang is the capital city of Central Java. Do encourage your network, association or contacts to look out for RAPEL and to use our APP to better manage their wastes.

As the business grows in size, we identified 3 different customer segments whom we are working with:-

  1. Rapel Retail – where almost all the wastes sold to us are household wastes. We collect these wastes and we sell them at a higher price to another player along the value chain.
  2. Rapel Business – where wastes are collected from business-operators who need someone to consistently pick up wastes. Such business-operators are restaurants and cafes, retail outlets, factories, etc.
  3. Rapel Industry – where wastes are collected on a bigger-scale as compared to Rapel Retail and Rapel Business. We work with larger institutions such as shopping malls, hospitals, airports, hotels, etc.

We are proud to announce that RAPEL has successfully signed a contract with the Angkasa Pura II company to manage all inorganic wastes coming from Yogyakarta International Airport (YIA). This project is an important milestone for us as we set out to prove that we are capable to handle bigger-volume businesses.

As we forge ahead to create a greener future for Indonesia, let’s stop a while to appreciate every little things our forefathers, past and current leaders have and are doing for Indonesia. We have come a long way since 1945. Happy 75th birthday to you, Indonesia!

Selamat Ulang Tahun Dirgahayu Republik Indonesia!!!
