Company Update : July 2020

Jul 11, 2020 | Press Release | 0 comments

Hello to our RAPEL Friends & Family

You will be receiving these updates from us because we would like to share with you our company’s progress and project development as we grow from month-to-month.

Highlights: We are increasing our number of wastes collected per month. Last month in June, we recorded the highest number of postings per month. It was a 40% increased compared to the previous month (May 2020). As a result, our revenue from collection has increased by approximately 42%. We are also steadily increasing our number of Rapel Warriors (i.e. waste collectors). We have 80 Rapel Warriors partnering with us as of today.

Requests: We are looking for investors or business owners who are interested to collaborate to setup waste treatment and processing plant(s) with us. We are conducting feasibility studies to build a biogas plant in West Kalimantan with a partner who is interested to grow this waste-to-energy business with GCAL.

RAPEL in Media: Our Rapel Warrior was featured in Jogja’s Tribun News (click here to read the news in Bahasa Indonesia). For those who could not understand Bahasa Indonesia, this story was about the marginalised community who faced difficulty in making a decent living in their villages. Through Rapel, one of our warriors found an opportunity to earn money by collecting recyclable-wastes. After several months learning the trade, her income from Rapel today is able to pay-off rental and daily needs for her family.

Through RAPEL’s initiatives, we are uplifting a person’s livelihood by giving them opportunities to make extra income. We believe that our continuous actions will be able to create ripple effects that will move every citizen in Indonesia to be more environmental conscious.

We look forward to have you on board with us one day.
